The Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) identifies recreational amenities, needs and issues existing throughout the state of Louisiana. The document, updated every 5 years, outlines a plan for balancing environmental conservation with providing recreational facilities and provides key information for determining the distribution of federal funds through the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). This website’s purpose is twofold: to promote the ongoing Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan under development for 2020 - 2025, and also to serve as a repository for outdoor recreational data collected as part of this and preceeding efforts, making it available for public use.
